Bio.
With close to fifteen years experience in the art industry across Australia and Europe, Joey's experience encompasses working with commercial galleries, auction houses, institutions and contemporary artists. She's contributed to arts boards and committees, including the Art Gallery Society Young Members committee, the OCTAPOD board, and the Friends of Maitland Regional Art Gallery committee.
In 2019, she received the Art Gallery of NSW and Art Gallery Society of NSW Annual Staff Scholarship, where she represented Australia as the Young Friends Representative at the 2019 World Federation of Friends of Museums General Assembly in Montreal, Canada. She was part of the panel From Baby Boomers to Millennials, Expressing Expectations, Preparing the Future.
In 2025, she was a recipient of the Katharine Susannah Prichard Writer's Centre Fellowship.
Joey currently works at Maitland Regional Art Gallery as Gallery Officer and Editor of Artel, the MRAG Members Magazine. She is also a freelance arts writer, working with commercial art galleries, artists, and institutions.
